Bank of Scotland report says the jobs market is improving.

The level of demand demand for jobs in Scotland is on the increase.

That's according to the latest industry study by the Bank of Scotland.

January's labour market survey saw the sharpest increase in permanent job vacancies since April 2006.

Figures show both permanent and temporary placements are continuing to rise rapidly.

For the second month in a row, Edinburgh recorded the fastest increases in permanent and temporary opportunities.

A spokesman for the bank says the jobs market is continuing to show "pre-crisis levels" of 2007.
