Missing St Andrews Man

Concern is mounting for John Wilson who hasn't been seen since yesterday afternoon when he visited the town centre.

Police say his behaviour is out of character.

The 68-year old is described as white, 5ft 11 inches tall, with a medium build and receding fair hair. 

He was last seen wearing a brown shirt, cardigan, shoes and trousers. He is also known to walk with the aid of a walking stick.

Community Ward Sergeant Pat Turner said: “John is a well-known and well-liked man in the local community and we’re eager to trace his whereabouts as soon as possible.

“John has health concerns and we’re utilising all available resources, including the helicopter and dog unit, to help us find him.

“I’d urge anyone who may have seen him since yesterday afternoon, or has information which can help with our enquiries, to come forward.”
