Minimum Wage Could Rise

As the Scottish referendum debate gathers pace, the SNP claims the minimum wage could increase in the event of a 'yes' vote.

The minimum wage will increase in an independent Scotland.

The SNP claim up to 150, 000 people could see their wages rise.

The Nationalists say a 'yes' vote in September will lead to the creation of a new 'Scottish Minimum Wage'.

It's claimed the rate would rise with inflation, while benefits, allowances and tax credits would increase with the cost of living.

The SNP says around 100, 000 women could benefit.

Better Together campaigners say we have the best of both worlds as part of the UK.
