Mechanics 'Should Be Legally Qualified'

Calls are growing for mechanics to need qualifications before they can fix Scots cars.

A poll suggests more than half of Scots (58percent) are in favour of Holyrood making vehicle maintenance licences a legal requirement.

Road safety charity Brake estimates 2,000 road incidents - and 50 deaths - every year are caused by poor vehicle maintenance.
