Maternity Mortality

A charity claims women in the UK are more than twice as likely to die in pregnancy and childbirth as those in Poland, Austria or Belarus.

A report by Save the Children ranks Britain as the 24th best place to be a mother.

Norway tops the list, followed by Finland and Iceland respectively.

It's a slight improvement on last year for the UK, when it was 26th.

Here are the top 10 and bottom 10 Mothers' Index Rankings for 2015 from Save the Children.

Countries are ranked on five key factors - risk of maternal death, under five mortality rate, educational status, economic achievement and political status.
