Man Robbed In Methil

Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Methil on Saturday.

Two men approached the victim, also male, and demanded that he had over money. The incident happened on Kirkland Road at the junction with Ossian Crescent at around 8.45pm on Saturday.

Both suspects are described as in their 20’s, 5’10’’ tall, of slim build, with short dark hair, and wearing dark coloured clothing and trainers.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward. 

Detective Sergeant James McGuinness, who is leading the enquiry, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen two males in the area around 8.45pm to come forward. Thankfully the victim was not injured but he is understandably shaken and upset. 

“We would urge anyone with information that can help us trace this suspect to contact us immediately on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
