A man has appeared in court charged with an attempted murder in Dunfermline.
Police were called to the town's Leishman Drive yesterday morning, and a 42-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Andrew Gibson, 49, of Dunfermline, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today.
He faced allegations of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
Gibson made no plea and was remanded in custody.
