Man, 36, seriously hurt after being hit by car in Fife

A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Inverkeithing last night.

The 36-year-old was struck by a Suzuki Celerio car on the A921, at the roundabout junction with the B981 North Road.

He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he is being treated.

The 63-year-old driver of the car did not suffer any physical injuries.

Sergeant Alastair Purvis at Road Policing East Division in Glenrothes said: "Anyone who was travelling on the A921 road near to Inverkeithing around 10.20 pm last night, and either witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage, is asked to contact police at Road Policing East Division via telephone number 101.
