A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of an 83-year-old woman at a house in Glenrothes.
It happened just after 5am on Thursday June 25, within a property on Meldrum Court.
Police say the man is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court tomorrow (Wednesday July 8).
Officers have been carrying out an extensive investigation in the area since the crime was reported almost a fortnight ago.
