Locals Urged To Back Dalgety Bay Clean Up Plan

Dalgety Bay residents are being urged to support proposals to remove radioactive contamination from their beach.

The Ministry of Defence has accepted responsibility for radiation, and has outlined a 10 million pound remediation plan.

Higher level contamination is to be removed from the beach, and the remainder smothered in rock armour to prevent any leakage.

A meeting is taking place at 7pm in the town's Church Hall.

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, MP for the area, is hoping for a large turnout:
