Results from Kingdom's football sides and the Fife Flyers

Fife Flyers put in a battling performance to earn a point against the Belfast Giants.

But the Elite League champions scored with three seconds of overtime left to take the extra point.

It ends the Kirkcaldy side's winning streak of 6 games, but was still an invaluable point as they look to finish above either Cardiff, Hull or Coventry as the play-off race intensifies.

In football it was a poor day all round for the Kingdom's sides.

In the early kick-off East Fife suffered late heartache - losing 1-0 at home to Rangers.

Gary Naysmith's side held on until the 93rd minute, but Lee McCulloch's penalty means the Methil side drop to ninth after Airdrieonians beat Ayr.

Meanwhile Dunfermline stuttered in Stranraer.

Danny Grainger's 79th minute spot-kick proved a mere consolation for the Pars, who lost 3-1.

In the Championship, Raith Rovers' struggle continues - they lost 4-2 at home to Falkirk.

John Baird and a Callum Booth penalty had put Rovers 2-1 up, but the Bairns scored three in the second half to condemn the home side to their 10th game without a win.

They stay four points clear of Cowdenbeath - the Blue Brazil lost 1-0 at Livingston.
