A Glenrothes mental health support group is disappointed, but not surprised more than 6 in 10 people struggling with their mental wellbeing in Fife face discrimination.

Scotland's programme to tackle mental health stigma See Me says a new study, revealed today, shows people across the Kingdom are most likely to experience discrimination from friends, family and work colleagues.

But 80% who responded think public perceptions of mental health issues has improved over the last decade.

Censuswide carried out the poll for See Me and 153 people in Fife were surveyed.

It's the most extensive study into mental health stigma in Scotland, with a total of more than 2,000 people polled.

Kingdom FM News has had a chat with Andys Man Club, who run support groups in Dunfermline and St Andrews, as well as in Glenrothes.

Scott Campbell is a facilitator at the group in the latter of the three locations and thinks progress can be achieved to reduce the more than 6 in 10 figure in Fife.

He also talks about how many people Andys Man Club helps and what happens at its meetings.
