Kirkcaldy Woman "Held Against Her Will"

The woman was held against her will in her own home

Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her sixties was assaulted and held against her will in the Templehall area of Kirkcaldy.

The woman was entering her home on Harris Drive at around 10am on Saturday when an unknown man followed her into the property. She was then assaulted and threatened. The suspect left the property after approximately four hours.

He is described as around 30 – 40 years old, 5ft 4 inches tall, with a medium to stocky build. He had a shaved head with a scratch to his face and head. He also had an earring and was wearing a black zipped jacket with a brand logo on one of the shoulders.

Detective Inspector John Anderson said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim that took place in her own home and we are eager to trace this man as soon as possible.

“Anyone who recognises his description or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Harris Drive area yesterday morning or afternoon is urged to come forward. People may also have seen him before or after the incident elsewhere in the Templehall area.

“I’d like to reassure the community that we are currently pursuing all lines of enquiry and will have a highly visible police presence in the area whilst we carry out house to house enquires, and review CCTV footage.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
