A Church of Scotland report says the independence debate has to focus on issues like social justice instead of how much better off Scots will be financially.
It's calling for a willingness to consider alternative and more progressive models of taxation to build a better society. The Kirk has taken a neutral position in the debate, but it says many in politics are looking at only the economic and financial effects of constitutional change. It's also pointing out strong levels of dissatisfaction with the political system as a whole.
