Jeffries Plans To Leave If Dunfermline Win Promotion

Dunfermline manager Jim Jeffries is planning on stepping down if his side win promotion to the Championship.

He says he's told a meeting of the Pars Supporters Trust of his intentions.

The club missed out on promotion last season, when his injury-hit side lost in the Championship play-offs to Cowdenbeath.

The 64-year-old steered the club through administration in 2012 while being paid petrol money, but the West Fifers were relegated from the old First Division after being hit by a 15 point deduction.
