Jack And Emily Top Baby Names For 2015

Jack and Emily are the most popular baby names in Scotland for 2015.

National Records of Scotland (NRS) show that Jack has topped the poll for the 8th year in a row, its the 2nd year running for Emily.

Oliver rose from 4th to become the second most popular boys name whilst James fell one place to 3rd and Lewis down one place in 4th. 

Alexander climbed five places to 5th. 

The rest of the boys’ Top Ten was Charlie (up 2 places to 6th), Logan (down 2 places to 7th), Lucas (up 1 place to 8th), Harris (up 3 places to 9th) and three names which together were joint 10th: Jacob (up 9 places); Finlay (up 5 places) and Daniel (down 4 places). 

For the girls Sophie was in 2nd place, Olivia 3rd and Isla 4th.

Ava rose one place to 5th, and Jessica fell one place to 6th. Amelia remained in 7th place. Ella rose three places to 8th. Lucy (down 1 place to 9th) and Lily (down 1 place to 10) made up the rest of the girls’ Top Ten. 

Big climbers within the 2015 baby name top fifty charts include:

Leo (up 11 places to 13th)
Brodie (up 12 places to 31st)
Harrison (up 13 places to 35th)
Georgia (up 12 places to 27th)
Rosie (up 15 places to 35th)
