INDY: One month to go

It's exactly a month until Scots decide if the country should be independent.

First Minister Alex Salmond will be in Arbroath for a meeting of the Scottish cabinet, while Better Together is launching a final push in Glasgow.

Mr Salmond will visit Arbroath Abbey, where the Declaration of Arbroath was drawn up in 1320.

That affirmed Scottish sovereignty after the wars of independence.

The First Minister says he will make a new Declaration of Arbroath, promising to protect the NHS from privatisation and create a fairer society.

Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander wil claim a majority of Scots continue to back the Union as the two-year campaign enters its final stages.

He says the challenge is to turn the majority support into a majority vote.
