Indecent Exposure Reported In Methil

Police in North East Fife are appealing for witnesses following a public indecency in Methil. 

The incident happened around 12PM yesterday (Monday) on Methil Brae, near to the Argyle Bar. 

A 14-year-old girl was walking in the area when a male approached and exposed himself to her. 

The girl returned home and reported the matter to police who are now urging anyone who can assist with their ongoing inquiry to come forward. 

The suspect is described as white, late twenties to early thirties with an average build. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a black hooded top and a baseball cap and may also have been drinking from a an alcohol container at the time of this offence. 

Detective Sergeant Alex Raeside said: “While the young girl was not injured during this incident, she was left very shocked and shaken and we are pursuing various lines of investigation to trace the male responsible. 

“Anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious in the Methil Brae area around midday on Monday or who can help us identify the suspect is asked to contact police immediately.”
