Health bosses say a programme to tackle bed blocking at the Victoria Hospital has been helping them cope with the busy winter period.
The dedicated discharge unit was set up last year and aims to help patients leave the hospital as soon as they're medically ready. Now it's winning praise from the Scottish Government. Health Secretary Alex Neil says delays are normally caused because care packages aren't ready when patients' treatment finishes.
