Holyrood finds another £15m to help people hit by 'bedroom tax'

The Scottish Government has found a further £15 million to help those hit by the bedroom tax

Nicola Sturgeon, the deputy first minister, says she's more than willing to spend the cash topping up discretionary housing payments. The maximum amount allowed under Department of Work and Pensions rules has already been earmarked in the Scottish Budget. But Ms Sturgeon is writing to Lord Freud, the UK Welfare Minister, asking him to raise the £20 million cap.
