A specialist contractor is dismantling Kincardine's Market Cross.
Work to conserve Kincardine's 350 year old historic market cross is underway.
The local Community Council and Fife councillors raised enough funds to hire a specialist stone contractor to begin the complex and delicate work.
The first phase involves dismantling the pillar and the capital, which sits on the head of the pillar.
The project has been given a £5,000 grant from Fife Council.
