Billed as the 'most exciting development in Glenrothes for years'.
Plans to introduce a Marks and Spencer food store on the current CISWO site as well as four other retails unit in the current car park area are being discussed.
Suggestions made by the Glenrothes Area Futures Group (GAFG) inculded landscaping, access to the town park, a cafe/restaurant on the top slope of the park looking over the Lomond Hills.
A public transport system linking the whole town centre area was also discussed.
Bob Grant, Chairman of the GAFG says:
"We have always looked for a social hub to be at the heart of our community and this would be a superb beginning to a real Glenrothes town centre, and being adjacent to the town's Riverside Park is a real and major bonus."
