Glasgow 2014 Ticket Problems Return

Commonwealth Games bosses have admitted there are still problems with the ticketing website.

More customers say they've been struggling to buy passes for the event despite efforts overnight to fix the issues.

It comes after many people complained about delays and errors yesterday.

More than 100,000 extra passes had gone on sale, but frustrated customers found themselves waiting online for several hours - with some then being kicked out of queue and sent back to the start.

Games spokesman Gordon Arthur insisted thousands of people had successfully secured tickets, but he admitted many had a "frustrating experience" and apologised.

The ticketing website was shut down for an hour at midnight to allow the problems to be investigated.

Afterwards, bosses had said it was "working effectively" althought they conceded there was less demand during off-peak hours.

A statement released this morning said: "As traffic has increased, we have seen some recurrence of issues people were having with the ticketing website.  We are continuing to sell tickets, but at the same time we need to investigate the cause of these issues and monitor the queue closely.  We will provide an update on this website and our social channels on a regular basis."
