GE15: Campaigning Continues Over Easter Weekend

The general election contenders are out in force across Scotland this weekend.

Both the SNP and Green Party will be attending an anti-Trident rally in Glasgow's George Square. The Scottish Green Party's co-convenor, Patrick Harvie, said:

"Scotland is a nation of peace not international aggression. Those advocating renewal of Trident should think carefully how £100 billion could transform our communities."

Nicola Sturgeon will represent the SNP at the demonstration.

Labour are demanding answers from the Nationalists on their plans for full fiscal autonomy within the UK. Their deputy leader, Kezia Dugdale has written to Sturgeon requesting "a straight answer to a straight question".

The Liberal Democrats are seeking to raise the tax-free threshold to £12,500. Sir Malcolm Bruce, their deputy leader, says this is necessary as "fairness dictates that we focus help on low and middle-come earners."

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson is meeting voters in Glasgow city centre.
