Funeral Fund For Fife Road Victim

Logan Carrie

Generous donors help more than double the target amount to pay for 9 year old Logan Carrie's memorial.

A fundraising campaign started to help pay for the funeral of a Fife boy killed on the A92 last week has more than doubled it's target.

Logan Carrie died near Cadham on Tuesday and his mum's friend Mary Ann Couper set up a just giving page to help his family afford the memorial expenses.

Mary Ann was hoping to bring in around £700 pounds, but donors have already given £1100 more than that.

It's hoped the cash may also help Logan's mum Sionaid and his two siblings take some time away as a family.

Mary Ann told Kingdom FM News: "I can't take her pain from her, none of us can, but we all want to show our support and take some of the strain of worrying about how to pay for things."

Sionaid has paid tribute to her son saying: "The whole family is devastated by the loss of Logan.

"He was so cheeky. He loved playing tricks on people but was a very sensitive soul. He didn’t like seeing people hurt or sad. He loved giving to charity as well.

"Logan was so close to his brother Zachary as well. The bond between them was incredible. They’ve never been apart.

"He will also be greatly missed by his grandfather and other siblings."
