Birrell Stewart's boat capsized off the coast of East Wemyss earlier this month.
The 30-year-old was pulled from the water after his 10 foot fishing vessel capsized.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital but died.
Mr Stewart's two friends, David Stead and Jason Buchan, are still missing.
Family and friends are expected to gather for the burial in East Wemyss this afternoon.
