Fourth Coronavirus Case Confirmed in Fife

There has been a fourth case of coronavirus in Fife.

It comes exactly a week after the first two cases were confirmed in the Kingdom.

The third case was included within yesterday's tally in the Scottish Government's daily update.

The total number of COVID-19 cases across Scotland now stands at 85, with Greater Glasgow and Clyde having the most at 21.

Lothian is on 20 and Grampian has 11.

Across the UK, the total is now at 798, which represents an increase of 208 within the last 24 hours.

The coronavirus situation has resutled in Scottish football matches being postponed for the forseeable future, and this includes fixtures for Dunfermline Athletic, Raith Rovers, East Fife and Cowdenbeath.

In ice hockey, the Elite League has been cancelled for the rest of the season, with Fife Flyers' matches no longer taking place as a result.

Tomorrow's Scotland v Wales rugby 6 Nations fixture has also been called off.
