Four Stars For Fife Park

Pittencrieff Park has once again been recognised as a four star visitor attraction by Visit Scotland.

The Dunfermline park has recently undergone a number of improvements including new lighting and the refurbishment of the Peacock Sanctuary.

Work has also been taking place on the Andrew Carnegie statue.

The Carnegie Dunfermline Trust Chief Executive, Nora Rundell said: “We are delighted that the continuing work in this, one of the best loved community parks in Scotland, has been recognised in this way. Andrew Carnegie would be proud of how his gift is being nurtured.’

Later this spring the Glasshouse will reopen following a major refurbishment with the addition of a glassroom - community learning facility. New signage and refurbishment of the park’s main entrance features will follow soon after, with completion of all the park projects scheduled for the end of 2015.
