Carphone Warehouse is closing 531 stand-alone shops across the UK - including four in Fife.
The stores in Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and St Andrews will close on the third of April.
Dixons Carphone says all 305 combined stores within Currys PC World across the UK will remain open.
That means the branches in Fife Central Retail Park and Halbeath Retail Park will not be affected.
Dixons Carphone says that the impending closures are unrelated to the coronavirus outbreak, but due to the changing mobile phone market.
