Forgotten Fife Soldier Gets Special Service

A forgotten soldier from Lochgelly has been buried in Ypres after his body was discovered 90 years after the end of First World War.

John Robertson Thompson's bones were dug up in a family's garden when installing a pool, and was identified because of the initials carved on his dagger.

Fife Provost Jim Leishman and businessman Bob Garmory arranged a special service for Thompson - both men grew up on the same street as he did.
