Flyers Sign Douglas

Netminder Craig Douglas will feature as back up alongside goalie David Brown for the forthcoming season.

The 25-year-old, who's trained with the Flyers and signed on a two way contract with them in previous seasons, has also dressed for the Kirkcaldy Kestrels and Solway Sharks in the SNL.

The 6’2 netminder will take the place of Flyers #29 Blair Daly while he's on secondment with his day job. Douglas will wear #35 during the new season.

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume said: “Blair Daly who is a long-time servant to the Flyers has had to accept a work transfer to London for the foreseeable future.”

“Blair will remain associated with the Flyers but taking over his role as back-up will be local lad Craig Douglas.”

“Craig has trained with the Flyers for a number of seasons and has been in the line-up in the past.”

Dutiaume added: “Craig has always been available to us when required and jumped at the opportunity to take on the role. We are looking forward to having him back on the roster and will leave the door open for both him and Blair in the future.”
