Flyers: New Signing

Fife Flyers have confirmed the signing of defenceman Phillipe Paquet from Rungsted in Denmark.

The 28-year-old posted three goals and 10 assists from 34 games last season and has also had spells in Norway and Austria.

Paquet said: “I have heard good things about the league and especially about Fife and the loyal Flyers fans. I am looking forward to playing in front of a packed home crowd.” 

“I hope to bring a winning and competitive mentality to the team and contribute in any way I can to help this team win games.”

Associate coach Danny Stewart added "Phil ticks a lot of boxes for us and we are excited to have come to an agreement with him for the 2015-16 season.” 

“He is a very solid defender who is also a puck mover and will feature heavily on our special teams this season. He plays with an edge and uses his size well. He will be looked upon to contribute at both ends of the ice and log a lot of minutes.”
