Ryan Dingle in action for Cortina

Fife Flyers have announced their first new signing for next season.

Ryan Dingle, a left handed centre from Steamboat Springs, in Colorado, is the first new name signed for the Kirkcaldy club.

Dingle has spent the last four years with Italian side Cortina, averaging 41.75 points a season. The 5’11, 190lbs American has also had spells in the ECHL and AHL.

Dingle said he is "looking forward to a new challenge" with the Flyers.

“I am beyond excited to be a part of an organization that has such rich tradition. I can't wait to get there and get the season going."

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Flyers organisation and I'm looking forward to a successful season."

A Flyers Spokesperson added: "We are excited to bring Ryan in for the upcoming season. We worked hard as an organization to make this deal happen. After huge success at college level, Ryan has a wealth of experience at American Hockey League level and has had a great amount of success in
Europe as well, specifically in Italy.”

“We are getting a great two way centre that is going to be looked upon to create offence for this club while being accountable in all 3 zones.”

“He's a goal scoring centre and they are tough to find. He will be vital in our special teams and will be looked upon to play big minutes week in week out.”
