Flooding Affects Fife

Yorkshire and Lancashire take the brunt of Boxing Day floods

The Army has been helping emergency services in York to evacuate hundreds of homes because of flooding.

Another 350,000 properties are at risk.

David Cameron's tweeted his thoughts are with people whose homes have been flooded - he'll chair a conference call of the government's emergency Cobra committee later.

31 severe flood warnings are in place across the north of England.

In Scotland there are flood warnings for Dundee and Angus, Tayside, Scottish Borders and West Central Scotland as well as an alert for Fife.

B9130 Main Street in Thornton 

B923 at Kinghorn Loch

B942 Colisburgh near the Charleton Golf Course

Abercrombie to St Monans

Erskine Brae, Culross 

 

A914 New Inn- Newbridge reopened at 08:15 

A955 East Wemyss at Main Avenue reopened at 09:20

B930 Castleandhill Road at Dunfermline Wynd reopened
