Five In Court After Fife Cocaine Seizure

Five people appeared in court on Monday after a £80,000 cocaine seizure at a house in Lochgelly.

Two men were arrested following the raid at an address in the Fife town's Station Road on Friday.

A further three suspects - two men and a woman - were arrested elsewhere as part of a larger operation.

The five appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court in private on petition yesterday.

Martin Stewart, 25, Anthony Crawford, 34, and Michelle Steel, 28, all of Glasgow, faced two charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Conar Tracey, 20, of Glasgow, and Shayne Devaney, 20, of Cowdenbeath, faced a single charge under the same act.

All five had the cases against them continued for further examination and were granted bail ahead of further court dates being set.

Detective Inspector Colin Robson, of Police Scotland's Fife Division, said:

"This was a significant seizure of cocaine that was destined for our streets and shows the commitment of Police Scotland to removing controlled drugs from our communities.
