Fife Fire Fighters looking out for people this festive season

Fire fighters in Fife are urging people to look out for thier elderly relatives this Christmas season.

Due to memory loss, reduced alertness, disabilities and even some medication older people in Scotland are more at risk from fires in the home.

The Scottish Fire and Resuce service have some life saving advice:-

- Ensure that your home is provided with adequate heat and smoke detection

- Test and maintain the alarms

- Never ignore noise from a smoke or heat alarm

- Manage the risks
