Fire On Board Aircraft Carrier

Firefighters were called to Rosyth this morning.

Flames broke out on board the Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier at approximately 6.40am.

The fire took hold on one of the decks; however it was extinguished in less than two hours.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service says there are no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

HMS Queen Elizabeth will be officially named by Her Majesty during a special ceremony on July 4th.
