Fight To Save Schools Could Go To Holyrood

Parents protest at Tanshall Primary School in Glenrothes

Campaigners say they'll pull out all the stops to save five primary schools in Fife.

A fight to save five primary schools across Fife could be bound for Holyrood.

Yesterday, Councillors voted in favour of closing Dunino, New Gilston, Rathillet, Tanshall and Wellwood as part of budget savings.

Campaigners reacted angrily insisting it's the wrong move and could compromise pupil safety.

Fife Council says the consultation process has been carried out thoroughly and appropriately.

Euan Howells from Community Help at Tanshall he hopes MSPs will step in to help.
