Fifers Urged To Be Aware Of Their Drinking Habits

The warning comes ahead of Alcohol Awareness Week, 16-22 November.

People are being reminded about the impact binge drinking can have on their lives as well as their health.

Jim Bett, service manager at Kirkcaldy based Fife Alcohol Support Service (FASS) commented "If you overindulge in  alcohol, then the Alcohol Awareness Week from 16-22 November will highlight the very many problems  involved with this lifestyle. Basically, most of us have too much to lose!"

Jim continued "A lot of people don't really know what units actually mean in terms of what they drink, and as a result, do not know when they're drinking too much. Too often drinking habits can spiral out of control, and at FASS we see this happening all too frequently in all parts of Fife."

Fife Alcohol Support Service, also known as FASS, provides a free and confidential service throughout Fife for anyone who has a problem with alcohol.
