Dylan Fotheringham from Balwearie High School, Kirkcaldy has been selected by the Scottish Football Association for the 25 man training squad for players with a learning disability.

The team are preparing for the forthcoming Home Internationals which will take place at Hampden next year.

The 16-year-old goalkeeper has been selected for the under 19's squad.

Dylan is recognised as the first young Fife footballer to be included in the Scottish national squad since the Fife 7's league was established five years ago.

Disability Sport Fife (DSF) organise the Fife 7's league which is hosted by Kirkcaldy High School, they've been working with the SFA to develop a comprehensive programme of opportunities for players with a disability.

Patsy Wright-Davies is Dylan's guidance teacher:

"Dylan is a model pupil and a great role model for the younger pupils. He's just been elected as vice-captain for one of the school houses, as a school we are so proud of him".
