MSPs to scrutinise plans by Fife Council to close Tanshall Primary School.
A decision to close a Fife school could be quashed by ministers.
In February, Fife Council announced that Tanshall Primary in Glenrothes was to close, along with four other schools as part of budget savings.
Campaigners have questioned the consultation process which Councillors stand by.
Tonight, it's emerged that the Scottish Government has called-in the matter which means the closure will be scrutinised by MSPs.
