Fife Roaring Stevie to Voice Success

Support for Stevie McCrorie in Fife

Fife residents and businesses are backing Stevie McCrorie to win The Voice.

The Kirkcaldy-based fireman from Alva, Clackmannanshire, has fought his way to the final of the BBC talent show with Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson as his mentor.

Hundreds of supporters lined the streets outside Kirkcaldy fire station this week with banners and posters to greet the singer as he visited his workmates.

Businesses in the town have been getting creative with their support. Stuarts of Buckhaven have created 'Stevie's Blazing Bangers' - a spicy pork sausage - in a show of support. Bar staff at The Duchess in Kirkcaldy have mixed a unique cocktail in his honour, called the 'Flaming Voice'.

McCrorie is competing against three other singers in a bid to win £100,000 and a recording contract.
