Fife High School Is Respecting Rights

Glenwood High School pupil council and staff are starting out on a journey that will undertake key steps towards attaining the UNICEF Rights Respected School Award

The Pupil Council Members have met with the Chair of the Glenrothes Area Committee Counsellor Bill Brown and Area Services Manager Norman Laird to discuss their plans to promote Childrens Rights in the Glenrothes Community

The Work undertaken within Glenwood High School will involve Four aspects within the Awards criteria, these include; Values, Ethos, Active Citizenship and learning about the convention of the rights of a Child. 

Colin Bruce, Depute Rector, explained;

 " The focussed work on relationships has involved pupils and staff. It underpins Glenwood High Schools inclusive values."

S3 Pupils Kyra Campbell and Jack Stevens spoke to Kingdom FM news about getting involved in the pupil council.
