Fife Flyers: Cullen Signs

Patrick Cullen

Irishman Patrick Cullen has signed for Fife Flyers and makes the move from ECHL side Rapid City Rush.

The 26-year-old left handed forward has played in the ECHL, Germany 3 and DEL2 over the last 4 seasons. Cullen split last season with ECHL sides Indy Fuel during the first half of the season before joining the Rapid City Rush during the latter half of the season.

Cullen said: “I'm extremely excited to join the Fife Flyers organisation. I've heard so many great things about the country of Scotland and especially Fife, so much so that I jumped at the opportunity to play there.”

“I know a few of the guys who have signed for the team this season and they are very good players, so I'm really excited to start the season and get things going, and looking forward to winning a championship.”

Associate coach Danny Stewart added “In Patrick we are getting a very good skater that plays both ends of the ice.”“He will start on our third line this season but we have no doubt that he will push our top 6 consistently and even find some time on those lines. He will feature in both ends of our special teams and comes with a tremendous work ethic. He makes us stronger up front in all 3 zones without sacrificing offence.”

“He's a guy that had 40 plus points in the ECHL so will add much needed scoring punch to our forward group and specifically our third line.”
