Increasing numbers of Fifers are getting positive marks in their exams.
More S5 pupils achieved one, three and five Highers than in previous years, with well over 8000 passes.
The number of fifth years getting at least three highers went up by three percent, meanwhile the number of puils in S6 getting five highers is up 1.5 percent
Literacy and numeracy have also "significantly" risen according to Fife Council.
