Fife Darts Tournament In Honour Of Jocky Wilson

It is hoped the fundraiser will become an annual fixture

A Fife darts player is hoping a charity match could evolve into the next big Scottish tournament.

Lee Bruce is organising a fundraising night at Pettycur Bay in honour of Kirkcaldy arrows legend Jocky Wilson - with the blessing of his family.

He's hoping the event will reignite the Fife darts scene and become an annual occurrence.

Lee came up with the idea after talking to one of Jocky Wilson's relatives.

John Thomas "Jocky" Wilson was a professional darts player from Kirkcaldy. After time in the army and work as a miner, it was during a spell out of work that Jocky decided to turn professional in darts after winning a competition in Butlins in Ayrshire. He passed away aged 62 in 2012.

The charity match is being held on Saturday 24th October.
