Fife Community Project Nominated For Cash Award

West Fife Fencing Club and Wellwood Community Project have been nominated for a "One Family" cash award.

The project would aim to restore and revamp a former Primary School in the Wellwood area, near Dunfermline, in Fife. The building would be used to give the Fencing Club a permanent home for training but also to house a Community Centre. This would give local people and groups a central point to utilise.

The One Family Foundation give cash awards to community groups and projects that are in need. They deliver funding of £5,000 or £25,000 for a variety of different community aimed projects. The Wellwood Fencing and Community Centre Porject is the only applicant from Scotland in the Social and Sporting Group category. The group are currently sitting in second in the voting poll and are appealing for votes from the community. They are only a handfull of votes behind the leaders.
