It's still unclear why the popular visitor attraction has shut.
Trustees of the Fife Animal Park at Collessie, near Cupar, are expected to explain in the near future why it has mysteriously closed.
A statement on its website simply says the park is no longer open to the public.
Since the 10-acre site opened in 2007 it has proved popular with tourists, as well as local schools and nurseries.
It was put up for sale last October for around half a million pounds.
