The family of a father who died following an assault in Kirkcaldy say they're devastated at their loss.
Laurie Wallace, 60, of Leslie Street, Kirkcaldy, died in Victoria Hospital on Tuesday evening, after suffering a serious head injury.
Police say a post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
A 40 year old man appeared at the town's Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the incident, which took place on Tolbooth Street on Saturday night.
In a statement, his family said: “Laurie was an adoring father who will be sorely missed.
“His loss has left us devastated and we ask for peace to grieve at this very difficult time.”
