Family Keeps Fifers In Home Town

Bank of Scotland research shows more than a quarter of people from the Kingdom choose to stay close to relatives.

Living close to family is one of the most important reasons for Fifers staying in the area instead of moving away.

More than a quarter (28%) of residents say it's what they like about being here.

The Bank of Scotland have done a study looking at why we live where we do.

Their stats show 17% of people who live in the Kingdom moved here to be with a partner.

They've also found age is a factor in choosing a home, with 24 percent of 25 to 34 year old's staying where they grew up, compared to just 16 per cent of 35 to 44 year old's.
